Q: How Can I Apply for Admission?
A: The procedure for admission is as follows:
- Apply online only through the official portal.
- No applications via post or hand are accepted.
- Each applicant receives a unique ARN (Application Reference Number).
- Ensure all information is correct before submission.
- Verify all information carefully before making fee payment.
- Any changes after fee submission may incur processing charges.
- Incorrect or false information may lead to cancellation without refund.
- Admit card is generated after fee payment.
- Candidate must appear at the scheduled test center.
Important: Admission of a student automatically stands cancelled if he or she fails in the required exam whose result was not available at the time of admission application.
Q: Which admission tests are accepted for Fall 2026?
A: Applicants may apply through:
- FAST Admission Test (Undergraduate Admissions)
- SAT
- NTS (NAT for Undergraduate)
- HAT-1, 2 & 3 (Graduate Admissions)
- HAT-Subject for PhD
Q: What is the fee per credit hour?
A: Rs 12,000 per credit hour (w.e.f Fall 2026, applicable to all batches)
Q: How is semester fee calculated?
A: FAST does not have a fixed semester fee.
Example: 15 credit hours × Rs. 12,000 + Student Activity Fund

Q: Are there any additional fees?
A: At admission:

A: Yes, subject to approval by campus administration.
Q: What is the refund policy?
A:
- Admission fee is non-refundable
- Security deposit is refundable at the time of completion of degree or closing of admission
- Tuition Fee is refunded in accordance with the guidelines of HEC

A: Email the relevant campus admissions office. Post-submission changes may involve processing charges.
Q: How can I pay the admission fee?
A: Bank deposit or KuickPay online system.
Q: Where can I find test patterns and sample papers?
Q: When will test results be announced?
A: Results can be checked on the admission portal. SMS/email notifications may also be sent.
Q: I am a foreign student. How can I apply?
A: Passport number can be used. Afghan students may use POR number.
Q: Can I transfer from another university?
A: Yes:
- Apply as a normal applicant
- Credit transfer after admission
- Maximum 50% credits transferable (HEC rule)
Q: Can I migrate between campuses?
A: Yes, subject to: Merit, Seat availability, and Approval.
Q: Are classes held on weekends or evenings?
A: Karachi offers weekend programs. Other campuses may offer limited evening/weekend classes.
Q: How is merit calculated?
A: Based on Admission Test / SAT / NTS / HAT and academic record (SSC + HSSC / Bachelor).
Q: Is SAT accepted?
A: Yes.
Q: Is NTS accepted?
A: Yes.
Q: Is HAT accepted for Graduate and Post Graduate admissions?
A: Yes:
