TECH KP 2020 held in Peshawar campus

FAST-NUCES Peshawar successfully executed a wonderful event “TECH KP 2020” with the objective to influence KP with the latest trends in technology & Entrepreneurship in collaboration with KP Government. We were having onboard an audience of 200+ professionals from a diverse group belonging to Corporate, Startup, Academia, Government and Development sectors. This event comprehends of motivational talks and is an exuberant opportunity to network with professionals from different fields and sectors. The event comprehended of influential speakers and among them were Miss Tania Aidrus, Mr. Haroon Sethi accompanied by Provincial Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Finance, Mr.Taimur Saleem Khan Jhagra, Minister Local Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr. Kamran Khan Bangash, Advisor to Chief Minister on Science & information Technology, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr. Ziaullah Bangash. The ceremony opening is carried out with the recitation of Holy Quran in the beginning and followed further with the National Anthem of Pakistan. Dr. Muhammad Tariq, Director of FAST-NUCES who in his welcome the address stated that “FAST-NUCES Peshawar is one of the best institutes for providing quality of and is an honor for us that FAST-NUCES Peshawar is the first institute to execute the digital Tech event”. Event proceeded further with the address delivered by Dr. Ayub Alvi, Rector FAST-NUCES Peshawar who stated in his address that “I am proud to say that FAST-NUCES Peshawar campus is one of the prestigious university in Khyber Pakhtun Khwa and described the importance of Digital Technology in today’s world with referring to Ted Talks”. The talk carried out by Miss Tania Aidrus, the chief of staff and Head of strategic initiatives on the Next Billion Users (NBU) team at Google stated that “The importance of digital technology and media along with its connection with entrepreneurship, startups, E-commerce field and innovation in these fields by bringing in change in digital sector.”

The closing of the event was carried out with panel discussion in which the moderator role was played by Mr. Taimur Saleem Khan Jhagra Provincial Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Finance who also addressed in his talk stating “Pakistan’s digital journey has gained much attention in the last few years. While the Government is taking the right steps towards going digital, the pace is still slow when compared to other countries around the globe. There are still challenging areas Pakistan needs to address both in policymaking and implementation at the national level. Ownership of policy is also less clear at this stage and needs some focus from the authorities. The devolution of powers to provinces along with the lack of policy alignment has contributed to disparities in national and provincial agendas”. Mr. Kamran Khan Bangash, special assistant to Chief Minister in his panel discussion stated points by saying that “You have to see failure as the beginning and the middle, but never entertain it as an end. Entrepreneurship is living a few years of your life like most people won’t so that you can spend the rest of your life like most people can’t. All of our dreams can come true if only we have the courage to pursue them. How government can play role in making Peshawar a digital heart and implementing digital policies. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has the potential in the market to bring in new technological trends and entrepreneurial concepts in the digital world in order to bring economic growth in the economy of Pakistan”. Mr. Haroon Sethi Founder of Khareed (E-Procurement Solutions) in his panel, discussion talk said that “The Case for Digitalization Needs No Winning Arguments. Nations Becoming Increasingly Digital Have Experienced Growth And Productivity In Their Economies And Businesses, Leading To More Jobs, Higher Levels Of Innovation, And Better Quality Of Life. Accelerate to the digital state is an aspirational effort to assist the digitalization journey of Pakistan”. Mr. Ziaullah Bangash, Advisor to Chief Minister on Science & Information Technology, KPK stated in his discussion “A Revolution in Itself, Is Redefining the Way People Live, Interact, Transact and Develop As One World. The Impact Of Digital Change Is Rapid And Far-Reaching. Never Have Individuals, Businesses, And Nations Been So Dependent On Technology, As They Are Today
